02 Mar Wine Theory Tasting this Saturday!
Ryan and Leah Meulemans fell in love with wine in the Douro River Valley of Portugal in 2006. At the time they knew very little about wine but in the years since, it has developed into a deep passion for them both. Today, their Wine Theory venture focuses on bringing great wines to Tennessee with a portfolio of small production California wines they have hand-selected. Building relationships is important to Ryan and Leah and they have strong personal ties with their winemakers. Wine is emotional and the best wines are those you will remember for not only the taste but for the story and the complete experience.
Join us this Saturday and taste wines from two of their awesome winemakers; Lost & Found and INIZI.
Lost & Found is the vision of Master Sommelier Geoff Kruth. As one of America’s most respected wine professionals, Geoff brings to the winery a unique aesthetic and uncompromising commitment to quality. Along with consulting winemaker Megan Glaab, they celebrate a “lost and found” approach to classic winemaking from excellent vineyards. This Saturday we will sample two of their fine Pinot Noirs and a red blend.
INIZI: new beginnings in Italian. The name INIZI came from the belief that a bottle of wine begins in the vineyard. Founders A.J. and John became friends while attending Fresno State University. A.J. studied Viticulture (farming of grapes) and John studied Enology (winemaking). Their mutual love of wine made them quick and life-long friends. In 2012, with a little marketing help from their wives, INIZI was born. INIZI strives to be wine producers of the hard to find, neglected and underrated. Join us on Saturday and sample their “High-Jump” White and Rose.
